2015 - 2016 STUDENTS
Phua Chuen Yen
LKC M2, Project Head 2016,
Gorkha 2016
Hi! I am Chuen Yen, leader for the 2016 December Trip to Gorkha, Nepal. I joined Project Aasha as the pioneer batch to organize trips to Nepal, and each trip thus far has been meaningful, full of learning and greatly insightful as to what it means to serve a community. The beauty of Nepal is also truly a sight to behold, and a hike up the mountain treks is an experience one must truly have at least once in their lives! Project Aasha is unique in that we are not tied to any NGO in our trips; this means that we have the flexibility in planning the type of service and the target community we want to benefit. In my free time, I enjoy hitting the gym and also cooking!
Lei Li Jia
LKC M1,
Gorkha 2016
Hi, I am Li Jia a Year 1 student in LKCMedicine, and joined Project Aasha in 2016. I joined Project Aasha to gain exposure to how medical camps are conducted overseas, as well as to better understand the culture and living conditions of the people in Nepal.

I enjoy watching scenery and photography, naturally taking a lot of photographs on the trip.
Felicia Ng
LKC M3,
Gorkha 2016
Hi I'm Felicia, a 3rd year medical student in LKC medicine. I was drawn to this project as it offered the experience of the culture in Nepal, as well as the opportunity to make healthcare more accessible to the Nepalis in the outskirts.
In my free time, I like to travel and spend quality time with family and friends.
Sophia Seen
NUS M4,
Gorkha 2016
I'm a year 4 medical student from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. I'm interested in ophthalmology and my main motivations for going to Nepal was to learn more about community service and to see clinical cases that were unique to the local setting. Nepal was also on my bucket list so I was glad that I could check it off!
My hobbies include scuba diving, ballet, learning new languages and walking my dog!
